The Hide is a detached retreat situated on Walney Island near Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria. Hosting one double bedroom with en-suite, this property can sleep up to two people. Inside you will also find an open plan sitting, kitchen and dining area. To the outside is off road parking and an enclosed lawned garden to the rear with patio, decking, furniture and a summer house. Situated in a memorable location and close to scenic attractions, The Hide is a beautiful cottage in a fantastic part of England.
There is wifi or internet access available at The Hide in Walney Island. Perfect for searching for things to do whilst on holiday, catching up on emails or even work if you have to.
On nice days, when you want to relax you can sit out in The Hide's garden and enjoy the sun shine. Children also love the outdoors so it can be a great place for them. Although, with young children you should always check any garden is safe for them.
There is one or more televisions at The Hide. Ideal if you want to catch up with the latest on your favourite programmes or just fancy a quiet night in relaxing in front of the box.
Why waste part of your holiday doing the washing up. The Hide has a dishwasher installed to save you time, and family arguements, about the washing up. Everybody hates doing the washing up and the last thing you need is a big family arguement about who is going to do the washing up while you are on holiday.
Great news if you just want to get away for a long weekend or short break. The Hide accepts bookings for short breaks. So if you fancy a few days in Cumbria to recharge your batteries then this cottage is well worth consideration.

Eco central heating with underfloor heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, WIFI, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking. Electric car charging point. Enclosed lawned garden to the rear with patio, decking, furniture and summer house. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 6.5 miles. Note: There is no access to the lighthouse. Note: The access road to property has had major improvements, however it is still bumpy in places, but is suitable for normal cars. Note: Maximum 2 adults. Note: Area is a Wildlife reserve, Beach is not accessible due to nesting and migrating birds. Note: This property has a 4pm check in time.
The reserve is a Nature Reserve run by the Cumbria Wildlife Trust and it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and guests must respect that. No dogs are allowed at the property or anywhere on the reserve, even on a lead. When you are walking around on the reserve, you must keep to the paths, and don't go down onto the beach. Never go onto the long Spit of land at the very end of the island (past the fence). In the Autumn and Winter, huge numbers of wader birds use the beaches to rest, and it's vital they are undisturbed to save energy and help them survive the winter. In the Spring and Summer, coastal birds nest here and must not be disturbed or harmed. Some of the nests are hard to see and easy to stand on so please keep to the paths. The reserve is monitored by a Warden and it is embarrassing for them, for guests and for us for visitors to be told off for roaming around where they should not be. This is a bird watcherâ??s paradise. No fireworks should be let off at the property and no drones should be used. We also have neighbours and we ask that guests respect their privacy. This is a beautiful, family friendly holiday home, and whilst it has modern audio and video facilities for everyone to enjoy, it is not a place for a noisy party group weekend away.
