2 Lighthouse Cottage is a beautiful holiday let nestled within the South Walney Nature Reserve, near Barrow-in-Furness, on the Isle of Walney. It boasts reverse-level accommodation making the most of the wonderful views. There are three bedrooms; a ground floor king-size double with en-suite shower room, and two ground floor king-size doubles (zip/link can be twins on request), sleeping six altogether. Inside is also a bathroom, a first floor open-plan living room with kitchen, dining area and sitting area, as well as a ground floor utility. 2 Lighthouse Cottage offers an unusual experience in an inspiring region of Cumbria.

TV in each bedroom with one shared DVD player between the three rooms but no internet TV access downstairs. Sonos sound system with practically limitless music, iPad controller, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off-road parking. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 7 miles, pub 5 miles. Note: Lighthouse is not part of the cottage and cannot be accessed. Note: This property has a 4pm check in time. Note: This property does not accept stag/hen or similar.
The reserve is a Nature Reserve run by the Cumbria Wildlife Trust and it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and guests must respect that. No dogs are allowed at the property or anywhere on the reserve, even on a lead. When you are walking around on the reserve, you must keep to the paths, and don't go down onto the beach. Never go onto the long Spit of land at the very end of the island (past the fence). In the Autumn and Winter, huge numbers of wader birds use the beaches to rest, and it's vital they are undisturbed to save energy and help them survive the winter. In the Spring and Summer, coastal birds nest here and must not be disturbed or harmed. Some of the nests are hard to see and easy to stand on so please keep to the paths. The reserve is monitored by a Warden and it is embarrassing for them, for guests and for us for visitors to be told off for roaming around where they should not be. This is a bird watcherâ??s paradise. No fireworks should be let off at the property and no drones should be used. We also have neighbours and we ask that guests respect their privacy.
