The Retreat is a unique hideaway which offers seclusion, peace and quiet with views out to a well-stocked "Italian" terraced garden, and it has the delights of this popular town on the doorstep.
Great news if you just want to get away for a long weekend or short break. The Retreat accepts bookings for short breaks. So if you fancy a few days in Dorset to recharge your batteries then this cottage is well worth consideration.
This annexe with its stylish interior, elegant fireplace, and mezzanine master bedroom, is the perfect retreat for couples looking to enjoy a relaxing break. Ilminster is a very attractive town with a good variety of shops, a market square and a popular theatre and arts centre, and there is plenty to see and do in all directions from this special holiday cottage. Guests can relax and eat in a courtyard or the attractive terraced gardens, from where there are views of the beautiful countryside surrounding the town. Nearby are several National Trust properties including Barrington Court, Montacute House and Tintinhull with its pretty garden, and the Somerset Levels are only a short drive away. The Retreat is ideally situated in Somerset, but just over the border are also the treasures of East Devon and North Dorset too with their quaint villages and stunning countryside.
Additional Information:
Infants and older children aged 5 years and older are welcome due to the stairs and open fire place inside the property and the steps outside in the terraced garden. Please supervise children at all times whilst in the garden.
A high chair and travel cot are available upon request. Please bring your own cot linen.
