This delightful stone cottage is nestled down a quiet country lane in the conservation village of Idbury in the Cotswolds Hills.
Great news if you just want to get away for a long weekend or short break. Garsons Cottage accepts bookings for short breaks. So if you fancy a few days in Gloucestershire to recharge your batteries then this cottage is well worth consideration.
This one bedroom Cotswold stone cottage with oak beams and oak flooring offers a cosy, relaxing retreat. With exposed Cotswold stone walls and a wood burning stove, the property has been expertly refurbished to the highest standard.
Set in the delightful village of Idbury, near Stow-on-the-Wold, surrounded by pastoral countryside with views across the Windrush Valley, honeyed cottages, meandering rivers and streams and abundant wildlife. Footpaths can be found in all directions from the front door.
The quintessential villages of Burford, Chipping Norton and Bourton-on-the-Water are all within a four mile radius. There you will find famous cheese shops, delis, bakeries, restaurants, tea and antique shops. Daylesford Organic Farm Shop is within four miles and well worth a visit. You are spoilt for choice with many award winning gastro pubs nearby, offering local ales and superb food. Walk to the Feathered Nest and enjoy cosy log fires and stunning views across the Evenlode Valley. The Plough and Wild Rabbit, both with Michelin Stars, are in nearby Kingham. The Kings Head pub is an all time favourite and a short walk down the hill on the village green in Bledington. Other local towns to visit are Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden and Broadway if you wanted to venture a few miles further.
