7 The Nest is a luxurious contemporary holiday home set within a private, gated community in a recently-converted clay dry - part of the UNESCO-listed Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. The Nest now sits proudly elevated above Charlestown village centre. The Nest has been developed on the original site of The Lovering Dry, built in 1908 for the production of china clay. The dried clay was shovelled into a deep Linhay for storage and then transferred to the harbour and waiting ships via an underground tunnel. Many of these key features including the Grade II listed chimney are still evident today and have been incorporated into The Nest development. Number 7 is a stylish newly-built property with high quality furnishings to match the exclusive style gated community in which it sits. With the added benefit of outside space and private parking, this property offers all the ingredients for a perfect Cornish holiday. There are various pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance, with the backdrop of the beautiful 18th century harbour; in fact Charlestown has become a popular location for food lovers, rivalling Padstow on the north coast. You can walk off your pub lunches with a hike on the extremely popular South West Coast Path which runs through St Austell Bay, encompassing the harbourside villages of Charlestown and Mevagissey, The world famous Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are both just a short drive away, as are countless wonderful beaches to enjoy some sunbathing or water sports before returning to cosy up on 7 The Nest's terrace to enjoy the last of the evening sun.
